Quotes and proposals

Signatures and deposits on quotes

Customers accept a quote on the page your link opens. If you ask for a deposit, they pay it there too.

Ask for a deposit

  1. On the quote, open Quote Options.
  2. Under Deposit, turn on A deposit is required to book this job and set a dollar amount or a percentage.
  3. Save the quote.

Set a default for every new quote in Settings, Invoice, Quote & Proposal, on the Quote tab, under Default Deposit on Quotes. Customers pay by card through the payment provider you connected. Without one, they see your contact details instead of a pay button.

What the customer does

  1. They open the quote from your link.
  2. If there's a deposit, they click Pay and pay it first.
  3. They click Accept Quote, draw their Signature, add their Full Name if they like, and click Accept & Sign.

The quote changes to Accepted and you're notified. Paying the full deposit also accepts the quote.

See the signature

Open the accepted quote and click View Signature. Signed quotes also show on the customer's Documents tab.

Good to know

Customers can also decline a quote with Decline this quote. If you turned on Last Offer when sending, they can Make an Offer instead.
