Move a lead
- Drag the card to another column.
- Or open the card's menu and choose Move to Column.
- Or, on the lead's page, click a stage in the Pipeline strip under the name.
Every move also runs any automation that uses the Lead Status Changed trigger.
Your starting columns
A new account starts with New Lead, Contacted, Qualified, Quote Created, Proposal Created, Quote Sent, Proposal Sent, Offer Received, Quote Accepted, Proposal Approved, Appointment Scheduled, Needs Follow-Up, Booked and Lost. Booked is your won column and Lost your lost column.
Moves that happen by themselves
- Creating, sending and getting a quote accepted moves the lead to Quote Created, Quote Sent and Quote Accepted.
- The same happens for proposals with Proposal Created, Proposal Sent and Proposal Approved.
- A customer making an offer on a quote moves the lead to Offer Received.
- Booking the lead's job moves it to Appointment Scheduled.
- Setting a follow-up date, or scheduling a Follow up activity, moves it to Needs Follow-Up.
- A customer declining a quote or proposal moves it to Lost.
Leads only move forward, and leads in a won or lost column are never moved for you. Move a lead to Booked yourself when the work is won.
Add or change columns
- Click Add Column after the last column.
- Enter a Column Name, choose a Position (at the end, at the start, or after a column you pick), and click Add Column.
- To change a column, click the pencil icon on its header. You can rename it, pick a Bar color, and set its Type: Open (still in the pipeline), Won or Lost. Won and lost columns count towards your win rate.
- Drag a column's header to reorder it. The bin icon deletes a column. Its leads leave the Pipeline view but stay in the List view.
The automatic moves look for columns by their name. If you rename a starting column such as Quote Sent or Lost, leads stop moving into it. Add a new column instead of renaming one of these.
The Pipeline view uses the Fresh and Returning pills and your board tabs. Search and the other filters apply to the List view only. Each column shows its lead count and Total Value.
