Track ad conversions with Marketing Tags (Google and Meta)

Marketing Tags put your Google tag and Meta Pixel on the pages Wrapstart hosts for you. Your ads then see when someone fills in a form, books or pays, and can find more people like them.

Add your tags

  1. Open Integrations (under More in the sidebar) and select Marketing Tags. Only the account owner can change these.
  2. In Google tag ID, paste your ID. It starts with G- (Google Analytics), AW- (Google Ads) or GTM- (Tag Manager).
  3. With an AW- ID, you can also add a Lead conversion label (optional) and a Purchase conversion label (optional) from your Google Ads conversion actions.
  4. In Meta Pixel ID, paste your pixel's number (digits only).
  5. Click Save tracking.

Where the tags run

On your Wrapstart lead forms, your Online Shop (including its custom domain) and the deposit payment page. They don't run on your own website, so add your tags there yourself.

What gets sent

  • A page view on every one of those pages.
  • Lead (generate_lead in Google) when a form is sent or a booking request is made on the Online Shop.
  • InitiateCheckout (begin_checkout in Google) when someone opens the deposit page.
  • Purchase (purchase in Google) when the deposit is paid.
Tip

To check it works, open one of your forms with Google Tag Assistant or the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension and send a test.

The tags run in the visitor's browser, so some ad blockers stop them. Expect your ad platforms to show a few fewer leads than Wrapstart does.
