Price by the square foot with Measure & Price

Measure & Price works out square footage and a price for work that isn't priced per vehicle: kitchen cabinets and interiors, signs and banners, and flat glass window film.

Open it

  • On a quote, click Measure & Price next to Add Service. The result goes straight onto the quote.
  • Or open More, then Measure & Price (in Sales) for a quick estimate. This version doesn't save or send to a quote.

Measure the job

  1. Under What are you measuring?, pick Kitchen / Interior, Signage, Flat Glass / Window Film or Custom.
  2. Under Pricing, set your Material $/sqft, Labor $/sqft, Waste % and Markup %. Add a Minimum fee, a Min sqft / piece and a Roll width if you use them.
  3. Under Items, use + Add preset… for common sizes, such as an upper cabinet door or a 4' × 8' banner, or click Add row. Enter the width, height, unit (inches, feet, cm or mm) and quantity for each piece.
  4. For signage, add Finishing such as hemming, grommets and laminate. For flat glass, add film removal, an access or lift fee, or a small-pane surcharge.

The Result panel shows the measured and billed square feet, material and labor cost, and the Price with your markup and gross margin. With a roll width set, it also tells you how many linear feet to order.

Add it to the quote

Click Add to quote. The price goes on as one line with the full breakdown in its description. To change it later, open the line's menu and choose Re-measure, then Update line.

Tip

Your rates are saved for each kind of job and shared across your team, so you only set them once.
